Ramallah -The Higher Council for Youth and Sport held a meeting with Police Director General, Major General Allam Al-Saqqa, to discuss the security and organizational arrangements for hosting the 10th edition of the Palestine International Marathon. The meeting comes as part of the ongoing preparations to ensure the success of this national and international sporting event.
Major General Al-Saqqa confirmed the full readiness of the Palestinian Police to secure the marathon, noting that necessary instructions have been issued to the Bethlehem Governorate Police to provide all required resources and to prepare a comprehensive operational plan covering security, organizational, and logistical aspects, ensuring the safety of participants and the smooth conduct of all activities.
Al-Saqqa highlighted that the Palestine International Marathon is a distinguished event that conveys a national and humanitarian message to the world. It will witness full mobilization and wide participation from various police units, which will exert their full effort to successfully organize the marathon in a manner befitting its significance and objectives.
For her part, Eitidal Abdul Ghani, Director General of the Palestine International Marathon, emphasized that the success of the marathon primarily depends on efficient organization and joint cooperation. She stressed that the Palestinian Police play a pivotal and central role in ensuring the success of this major sporting event by providing organization and security that guarantee broad and safe participation from all groups.
